This role presents an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to join our Marketing team. This role has a broad remit with plenty of scope to have real impact across inbound and outbound marketing through both traditional and digital channels. The successful candidate will join a great team and drive growth in the organisation, as well as gaining plenty of personal development.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage the email marketing and CRM output of the Club, developing personalised marketing strategies in line with departmental priorities and key performance indicators across all Northampton Saints Rugby activities.
- Drive sales across all departments; ticketing, retail, community and conference & events
- Communicate with all departments to manage priorities, weekly content plan and longer-term strategy.
- Drive data capture to grow the Club audience, managing existing activity and developing new initiatives.
- Maintain high rates of engagement with marketing output of the Club, keeping a keen eye on email open rates, click through rates and other key performance indicators.
- Work with Premiership Rugby stakeholders to support the success of league-wide initiatives.
- Support the Marketing and Communications team in delivering any supporter events.
- Keep up to date with marketing trends and apply any relevant findings for the benefit of Club marketing output.
- Work with Head of Loyalty and Retail to drive memberships; reducing churn and growing acquisition.
- Other relevant responsibilities as required.

- Must be able to communicate effectively
- Must be an effective team member with sufficient flexibility and willingness to take on varied roles and tasks
- Strong communication, time management and interpersonal skills
- Strong administrative skills
- Attention to detail imperative
- IT literate, with a good knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook
- Must demonstrate a thorough approach to work, able to organise him/herself effectively
- Relevant qualification in marketing/communications (desirable)
- Interest in sport/rugby (desirable)
- Experience using an email marketing platform – dotdigital, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, MailChimp, etc. (desirable)
- Experience working in a professional sporting environment (desirable)
