Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Market Access Manager with expertise in the German pharmaceutical market, specifically with in-depth knowledge of the AMNOG (Arzneimittelmarktneuordnungsgesetz) process. The ideal candidate will possess a degree in economics/management, science, or equivalent, with a minimum of 5 years of working experience in the field, or 2-3 years with relevant alternate experience. This individual will play a critical role in developing and executing market access strategies to ensure patient access to our innovative therapies.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of market access strategies for our portfolio of products in Germany, with a focus on navigating the AMNOG process.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal stakeholders including Government Affairs, Health Economics, Pricing, and Commercial teams to optimize market access opportunities.
- Stay abreast of changes in the German healthcare landscape, including regulatory requirements, payer policies, and competitor activities, and provide strategic insights and recommendations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key external stakeholders including healthcare authorities, payers, patient advocacy groups, and industry associations.
- Provide guidance and support to regional and global teams on market access initiatives and best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in economics, Management, Science, or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years of working experience, preferably in market access within the pharmaceutical industry.
- In-depth knowledge of the German healthcare system, including structures, service provision, health economics, laws (SGB V), and health policy.
- Previous experience in AMNOG dossier work is highly preferred.
- Strong analytic, conceptual, and strategic skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Proactive, solution-oriented, and able to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
- Fluent in English; knowledge of German is advantageous.
