The Web Application Development Manager is responsible for managing the team of web application developers, as well as driving and helping define the overall direction of enterprise web application development for Precisely products. This person works with various internal and external stakeholders to understand what is required to interact with our products and design and develop enterprise software that delivers a great user experience to our customers.

Your Essential Duties And Responsibilities
 

  • Manage UI development teams.
  • Work with other teams and managers to ensure projects with web application interfaces are appropriately staffed to complete priorities and meet schedules.
  • Identify and communicate issues, risks, and constraints faced by the team, and come up with recommendations to address them.
  • Guide and review the development of internal architecture and designs. Participate directly in developing these designs where necessary.
  • Help determine the roadmap and project schedules, including technologies to be used for modern enterprise software interfaces, and communicate the status of team activities to senior management..
  • Understand the operation of all Precisely products that have or will have web UIs.
  • Mentor and coach team members to help guide their career progression.
  • Assist in creating a positive work environment.
  • Work with director to define and manage budget.
  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees as needed; assisting with project planning; managing personnel, and appraising performance.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
     

Minimum Requirements
 

  • 5+ years of experience leading/managing a team of web application developers on enterprise software projects.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a software field preferred.
  • Good awareness of modern UI/UX technologies and trends for enterprise software.
  • Strong knowledge of web application UI technologies and development tools preferred including but not limited to Java, C#, AJAX, Javascript, HTML, CSS/SASS, UI frameworks, Angular, REST APIs, Foundation/Bootstrap, Visual Studio, Eclipse
  • Experience developing responsive enterprise web applications.
  • Experience with agile development environment and methodologies/Scrum
