Description:

An exciting temporary opportunity has opened up for a Maintenance Surveyor to join a reputable Housing Association in Surrey. In this key role within the regional Property Services team, you’ll be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of maintenance operations across a diverse housing stock. This includes responsive repairs, void property works, disrepair claims, and cyclical maintenance.

You will serve as a vital liaison between residents, contractors, and stakeholders, working to maintain high standards in project delivery, compliance, and customer satisfaction. The successful candidate will need to be technically skilled, highly organized, and capable of working independently in a dynamic housing environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct pre- and post-inspections, technical assessments, and comprehensive repair surveys

  • Manage a caseload involving responsive repairs, void inspections, insurance claims, and complex maintenance tasks

  • Oversee contractor performance across a £2 million regional repair budget

  • Produce technical reports, costings, and ensure all works meet high-quality and compliance standards

  • Support legal disrepair claims, environmental health orders, and group maintenance protocols

  • Ensure Health & Safety compliance (including CDM and asbestos regulations)

  • Liaise with internal teams and M&E contractors for smooth project coordination

  • Monitor void turnaround times, aiming to minimize rent loss

  • Foster strong resident relationships and drive customer satisfaction
