Maintenance Engineer

The client is very much open to a candidate who is qualified but hasn't had much exposure in Manufacturing and is looking to upskill. Essential Qualifications and Attributes:

• Time served in a recognized apprenticeship (NVQ/ONC).
• Natural enthusiasm and the ability to lead by example.
• Professional and proactive work ethic.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Proficient in written and oral communication in English.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing practices and a commitment to continual improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute planned preventative maintenance in accordance with task schedules and industry best practices.
• Respond promptly to on-site breakdowns, ensuring rapid resolution and minimizing equipment and machinery downtime.
• Maintain a safe and healthy working environment, in compliance with all company procedures.
• Perform self-risk assessments before undertaking maintenance and repair work.
• Work with and install single-phase/three-phase electrical circuits.
• Conduct repairs and maintenance on site facilities.
• Promote and practice safe working procedures.
• Communicate effectively, keeping management and relevant parties informed and seeking assistance when necessary.
• Complete daily task sheets in accordance with agreed procedures.
• Undertake any other duties as required, commensurate with the post and your skill set.
