Description:
As a Rolling Stock Technician, you will play a key role in inspecting and assessing fleet performance and maintenance, spending 1-3 days per week on-site with clients. The rest of your time will be based in the office (or from home), where you will assist with:
- Developing and updating maintenance documentation
- Technical assessments and reporting
- Supporting the delivery of engineering solutions
- Providing input into troubleshooting and fault-finding
- Further education opportunities will be given and the opportunity to progress as a consultant.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect, assess, and evaluate the condition of rolling stock assests physically.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and client specifications.
- Assist in the preparation and review of maintenance documentation.
- Work with the consultancy team on technical projects and fleet management strategies.
- Provide technical expertise for asset management and improvement projects.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Proven experience as a Rolling Stock Technician or a similar role in the rail industry.
- Strong understanding of fleet maintenance, inspections, and assessments.
- Familiarity with technical documentation and industry standards.
- Problem-solving mindset with an eye for detail.
- Ability to work both independently on-site and collaboratively in the office.
