Maintenance Assistant

 

Description:

The University of Warwick is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to join its growing Estates Maintenance Operations Team. Based at the Innovation Campus in Stratford Upon Avon, this is a varied and multiskilled role where you'll support maintenance activities across a range of buildings. These include ground-breaking research facilities, student accommodation, sports venues, and retail spaces. You’ll be involved in both reactive and planned maintenance, performing essential tasks such as statutory testing, electrical and mechanical system repairs, and basic building fabric repairs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carrying out high-volume, repetitive, and lower-skilled tasks across the campus.
  • Providing maintenance support, including repairs to electrical, mechanical, and building systems.
  • Assisting the Maintenance Technicians and specialist trades teams with their work.
  • Transporting materials, equipment, and meeting contractors.

This is an excellent opportunity to learn and develop your trade specialism while providing essential services that enhance the campus environment.


About You:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Previous practical experience in building maintenance across various environments.
  • A City & Guilds NVQ Level II in a relevant subject.
  • A keen interest in expanding your skillset and taking on varied tasks.
