M25 Operations Manager

The M25 Consortium of Academic Libraries is seeking an Operations Manager to lead and manage the Consortium’s support team consisting of 2 x 0.6FTE Administrators, working closely with the Consortium Chair, Trustees and Steering group to implement the Consortium’s objectives, promote the work and activities of the Consortium, and engage and serve the Consortium membership. Key responsibilities include servicing meetings, organising annual events and budget planning.

We are looking for a suitably experienced individual who will take forward initiatives and projects, promote the work and activities of the Consortium, and serve the Consortium membership by working through groups and projects and engaging with the membership at all levels.

To succeed in this role you will need to have a sound understanding of the current issues in academic or scholarly library sector and/or relevant experience of working for a membership organisation. You will be a confident, friendly communicator with excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with colleagues and encourage their engagement in the M25 Consortium's programmes.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing their own schedule and will need to set priorities within the Support Team and manage workloads accordingly to meet multiple deadlines. You will be adept and confident at working with minimal supervision.

The successful candidate will be expected to work with Consortium staff, library directors and other library staff. The ability to communicate, using various media, with a range of stakeholders is crucial to success in this role.
