Description:
UCL is seeking a Library & Information Services Assistant to join the Great Ormond Street Institute of Child Health Library. This role involves providing frontline customer service, information support, and training for students and staff at UCL, as well as NHS staff from Great Ormond Street Hospital. The position requires a high level of customer interaction, both in person and online, making it a critical role in ensuring access to quality information resources.
Provide customer service support to UCL students, researchers, and NHS staff.
Offer information assistance both in-person and online, helping users navigate library resources.
Support library operations, including book lending, resource management, and digital services.
Conduct information skills training for students and hospital staff.
Work collaboratively as part of a library team, ensuring smooth service delivery.
Experience in a customer-facing role, preferably within libraries or information services.
Ability to engage with diverse users, providing an inclusive and supportive service.
Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, with a willingness to take responsibility for tasks.
Permanent, Full-time (On-site role)
Not eligible for remote work or secondment
