Legal Counsel

We are seeking for an experienced commercial lawyer to work as part of our global team - negotiate and execute various commercial agreements including customers, suppliers, procurement, privacy and more. We view the ideal candidate as one who is passionate to learn what it takes to run commercial agreements from start to finish. In this challenging position, you will partner with internal clients (Sales, Customer Success, Marketing, Product Management and Security) in managing, negotiating and executing commercial transactions.

In addition, you will provide guidance, support and leadership to cross-functional teams worldwide about various legal and regulatory matters such as labour and employment and data privacy and security issues.
 

  • What will you actually be doing?
  • Become our UK team member, an integral part of our growing legal team.
  • Work directly with HiBob’s Sales Organisation to negotiate and close commercial agreements (including data processing agreements);
  • Work directly with HiBob’s internal departments to negotiate and close procurement agreements;
  • Remain current on applicable laws and regulations surrounding IP, privacy, and security;
  • Support and advice on a wide variety of general legal matters throughout the different departments
     

Requirements
 

  • Law degree
  • Certified Lawyer with an active bar membership
  • Relevant legal experience as an in-house lawyer in a legal department of a high-tech company or in the commercial/high-tech department of a major law firm
  • Excellent negotiation, drafting and analytical skills, and commercial transactions experience
  • Prior experience working with large multi-national customers and partners, preferably in technology-related agreements and SaaS
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple matters and conflicting priorities, while balancing legal and business concerns
  • Experience with data privacy and security issues (CCPA, GDPR, etc.)
  • Exceptionally strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours and days
  • Ability to work effectively remotely
