Ledger Assistant

 

Description:

As a Ledger Assistant, you’ll play a key role in accounts payable, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices within the financial accounting software, guaranteeing all transactions are made in line with appropriate finance policy and controls.

Working in a fast-moving environment, you’ll be the initial contact to answer queries from the customer service and internal Finance teams relating to Ledger transactions, providing system training and supporting all users. You’ll set up and process supplier invoices in line with agreed terms, maintain the ledger account details, including contacts, payment details etc. and support month end processes as required.

Your communication skills will come into their own in this role and the ability to build strong internal relationships is key.

About You

If you’re highly motivated, confident and can adapt to changing priorities and circumstances, this could be the role for you! Ideally, you’ll have a years’ worth of working experiencing working within Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable or Purchase Ledger functions in a large organisation. Experience of working with electronic invoicing systems is also a must in this role.

Being a strong Ledger Assistant, you’ll have a keen eye for detail, be a problem solver and be able to identify areas for improvement. Being a strong team player is key for success as you’ll support wider ledger team in the smooth delivery of accounts payable.
