Queen Mary University of London invites applications for the position of Lecturer – Clinical Lecturer in Multiomic Science within the Precision Healthcare University Research Institute (PHURI). This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to high-impact research at the intersection of multiomics, genomics, and electronic health records within a large, diverse population setting.
The successful candidate will lead and develop research programs focused on proteomic and metabolomic measurements at population scale, integrating them with health record and genomic data to discover rare, high-impact variants influencing human health. There's also scope for a clinical honorary appointment based on specialty alignment.
Design and execute research programs utilizing biological samples and linked health data
Conduct population-scale proteomic/metabolomic analysis
Integrate multiomics data with genomics and EHRs
Collaborate across PHURI’s multidisciplinary research themes
Translate discoveries into clinically actionable insights
Engage in mentoring and development of early-career researchers
National/international level research in omics science and/or single-cell analysis
Experience in handling and integrating multiomic and electronic health records
Strong collaborative mindset and ability to work across disciplines
Commitment to translational research and patient-focused outcomes
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Eligibility for honorary clinical appointment (desirable but not mandatory)
