Description:
Longdon Hall School is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join their close-knit team at their independent specialist day school in Lichfield. The role involves supporting teachers in delivering creative and effective lessons, helping pupils achieve their full potential, and working with individual and small groups of students with social, emotional, and mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities:
Support teachers in delivering creative and effective lessons.
Work with individual and small groups of pupils.
Prepare classrooms and materials.
Build positive relationships with pupils to promote interaction and learning.
Assist in the planning and delivery of lessons.
Provide support to pupils with social, emotional, and mental health needs.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
GCSE grade C or above in Maths and English.
Experience working in an SEN/ASC environment is desirable but not essential.
Strong support skills, motivation, resilience, and the ability to work as part of a team.
Genuinely motivated by helping pupils reach their potential.
Calm, engaging, and able to manage challenging situations.
Ideal for those transitioning from customer-facing industries such as retail, hospitality, and leisure.
