Copello are working with an International defence client in the recruitment of a Lead Project Professional. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a high-profile area and have close, regular engagement with senior leaders across the company, including the leadership and management committee. The role will also allow for the opportunity to have direct engagement with the CEO's and Managing Directors of the extended supply chain
What you’ll be doing:
- Developing supplier engagement & communication strategies in partnership and wider stakeholders with the single aim of improving schedule, cost and quality performance across the programmes
- Design and deliver a series of Supply chain conferences and events
- Own and lead the Senior Supplier Engagement Review Process and Cycle, establishing a plan and sustained model for all senior engagements and supplier interventions at a tactical and strategic level, focusing on risk mitigation and opportunity realisation
- Working in partnership to ensure a consistent and co-ordinated portfolio approach
Your skills and experience
- Experience of working in Supply Chain or Project Delivery, preferably with continuous improvement experience
- Excellent project management skillset
- You will need to have the ability to keep things simple and remove complexity. You will need to communicate with clarity, brevity and simplicity with an ability to assess the way in which communications will be perceived in an ever-changing environment
- Be able to set simple, tangible priorities, eliminates complexity for faster customer delivery
- Have a good ability to scope, plan and deliver projects and initiatives to an agreed set of business requirements and within cost, timescale, and quality parameters
