Description:
To develop, maintain, document, and perform tests for new and existing software developed in conjunction with the Product Development team and to ensure the high standard of software quality is maintained.
Your duties and responsibilities in this role will consist of:
- Working with the goal of improving the coverage and efficiency of tests across the platform and ultimately the reliability of the product.
- Design, develop, implement and document test scenarios.
- Testing software for errors and deviation from specification.
- Document test plans.
- Building a reliable set of automation tests (you will be trained on how to do this).
- Logging bugs (errors, faults and deviation from specification).
- Working with the product team to improve user experience security and stability.
- Make recommendations to improve Quality Assurance.
- Contribute to Sprint ceremonies, such as the Sprint retrospective and planning.
Qualifications:
- 5 GCSEs grades A*-C/9-4 or equivalent (including English Language and Maths)
Skills Required:
- Core understanding of key concepts within testing, such as test plans, test cases, what is a bug, priority vs impact, how you can assess test coverage and risk posed by a set of changes.
- Able to understand technical documentation.
- Able to communicate clearly and concisely.
- Able to produce accurate and clear reports.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise work accordingly.
- Good understanding of technologies including HTML, CSS and Javascript.
- Competent user of Microsoft 365 applications (Word, Excel).
