L4 Software Developer Apprentice

Description:

You’ll be involved in interpreting designs, functional requirements, and acceptance criteria to estimate the work you’re about to complete. You’ll need to plan out and manage your time within these estimates and give progress updates regularly.

A Typical Day:

• Supporting with full website builds using PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Connecting databases through website CMS and SQL.
• Supporting with software design and front-end UX/UI.
• Backend and front-end development.
• Developing plug-ins and modifications for clients.
• Supporting produce development based on client needs.

Qualifications:

• 5 GCSEs grades A*-C/9-4 or equivalent (including English Language and Maths)

Essential Experience:

• Working with static and content managed websites, including WordPress.
• Speaking with clients and presenting solutions and products.
• End to end product development.
• Minimum 1-year, developing and maintaining responsive, web-based business management systems in PHP.

Essential Skills Required:

• A foundation of knowledge and understanding of PHP and MySQL.
• HTML, CSS, Some front-end JavaScript.

Desirable Skills:

• Version control knowledge (Preferably Git)
• Unit testing
• LAMP stack
