Knowledge Manager

Description:

We are looking for a Knowledge Manager and Information Analyst to join Airbus Defence and Space.

This role ideally would be based in our site in Newport but can also be based at other Airbus Defence and Space offices within the UK (such as Stevenage or Portsmouth), although regular travel to the Newport site would be required.

Working with the Head of the Research, Experimentation and Demonstration (RED) Hub, you will help enable the effective operation of the RED Hub by ensuring the right information is collected, analysed and synthesised effectively and efficiently, and made available to the right people at the right time while remaining compliant with all relevant policies and procedures.

How You Will Contribute To The Team

  • Create and manage a knowledge management framework: Design and implement a knowledge management framework, initially for the RED Hub and subsequently for Secure Comms UK (SC UK), including developing processes and protocols for storing information, making it accessible, controlling access and capturing new knowledge. This will include developing, collecting and analysing appropriate KPIs to measure the effectiveness and value of the framework and associated processes. The framework will also be aligned with wider corporate KM strategy and coordinated with associated multi-functional teams.
  • Support and supervise the collection and synthesis of business intelligence data: This may include industry reports, public information, bid, project and research task information, or customer-provided information and will conform to extant ethics and compliance regulations.
  • Support the analysis of the data to identify any trends or insights that could help improve future business competitiveness. This will require a broad understanding of military C4ISR technology topics.
  • Assist in the preparation and dissemination of analytical reports to summarize findings and share with appropriate stakeholders through established communication processes. This will include assessing the perceived value (timeliness, relevance, accuracy) of reports. Reports may include knowledge articles, white papers and associated information.
