Junior Product Manager

 

Description:

The postholder will work with curatorial, collections, IT, and research staff from across the museum to test, document, implement, and support new services and updates or upgrades to current services. Current services include the Collection Management System, the Digital Asset Management system, and the online collection database.

Key areas of responsibility:

  • Write guidance, training and documentation for new products and product updates.
  • Manage User Acceptance Testing for Research Services.
  • Work with colleagues to write change requests, work requests, and funding applications including stakeholder management and communication.
  • Assist the Research Services Product Manager with system administration for the three principle services.
  • Work with curators and other project stakeholders to understand their needs, communicate project status to them, and manage their feedback.

About you:

  • Degree or equivalent experience
  • Previous experience as a documentation, image, or IT Support specialist in museums.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and museum collections management systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, to effectively build relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage conflicting demands, prioritise workload appropriately and escalate issues in a timely manner.
