Junior Devops Engineer

Are you a motivated Junior DevOps Engineer eager to contribute to the development and deployment of enterprise-level solutions in a cutting-edge software environment? Join our dynamic Platform Group and play a key role in building DevOps Pipelines for products based on a newly designed software platform utilizing service-oriented architecture and container-based environments.

You will work with Hands-On DevOps Development and actively contribute to the design, implementation, and maintenance of Enterprise Level DevOps Pipelines for products within a container-based environment. Tackle challenges in building cloud-native applications from scratch, delivering on-site deployments, and understanding the migration of monolithic systems to the cloud through API-driven micro-services architecture. Furthermore, you will work collaboratively within a scrum team to deliver high-quality solutions, demonstrating accountability and success in software engineering. Manage infrastructure to support software development in both cloud and on-premises environments. Work effectively in a small, distributed engineering team, actively participating in general technical discussions.

The Junior DevOps Engineer's responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
 

• Designing, building, and managing automated software deployment solutions and environments.
• Working with team members to deliver secure, performant, and maintainable development and test environments.
• Implementing best-practice CI/CD methodologies to ensure fast, robust, and secure build and deployment pipelines. Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or similar technologies is valuable.
• Incorporating open-source tools, such as Terraform, into our solutions following industry best practices.
• Taking personal accountability for the timeliness and quality of deliverables as well as seeking help when needed to overcome blockers.
• Embracing opportunities for training and learning to stay updated with industry trends and standards, particularly in the healthcare and software engineering domains.
• Utilizing personal skills and ingenuity to deliver valuable innovations that make a difference for healthcare professionals and patients relying on our solutions.
   

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field
• Experience in Azure DevOps, Jenkins
• Knowledge of Microsoft Azure, AWS, ESXi/VMware
• Experience in Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, Packer
• MS Build, .NET, Make, Npm
• SonarQube, Veracode
• Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Vagrant
• Bash, Perl, Python, Groovy, Windows PowerShell
• Web: HTML/JavaScript, Nginx, XML
• Data: MySQL, Postgres, Microsoft SQL Server
• Monitoring: Grafana, ElasticSearch, Prometheus
• Experience with working with Agile delivery processes – understanding of SAFe agile practices
• Understanding and experience of the overall SDLC for application development
