It Technician

 

Description:

We are looking for a cheerful, polite, proactive individual to join our staff team, working alongside our part-time Senior IT Technician, to make sure that everything in school relying on IT runs smoothly. This is an essential role in the school to ensure teaching and learning can take place through the use of IT by providing and maintaining efficient systems and support.
We advise and welcome visits from anyone interested in this role.

Key duties

  • To promote the use of IT to enrich the curriculum
  • To support the teaching and learning of IT throughout the School
  • To ensure all IT equipment is working effectively
  • Ensure all IT equipment is maintained and working effectively
  • To have an overview of all IT equipment
  • Carry out tasks to ensure the effective and efficient running of the school
  • Work with the Computing Subject Leader and IT team, to implement the IT policy throughout the school
  • Keep abreast of new developments in IT including hardware and software
  • Ensure the cyber-security of all IT systems in school
