Description:
The successful candidate will be responsible for the delivery of IT Technical Support including the support of desktops, servers, and networks to the internal colleagues across multiple locations. You will be responsible for working within the wider IT and data support team to ensure the smooth running of all IT, technical, and data analysis systems across the business.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Providing hardware & software technical support, answering support queries either onsite or via phone or email.
- Proactively dealing with user issues, through self-resolution or escalating to the correct colleague.
- Logging all issues on the relevant system and maintaining full documentation.
- Support users in the use of computer equipment by providing necessary training and advice.
- Obtaining quotes and processing orders in line with departmental policy.
- Setting up and configuring new laptops and desktops, and any subsequent software on these laptops and desktops.
- Maintaining computer systems, networks, and peripherals as instructed.
- Assist with developing dashboards and reporting in line with KPIs and contracted KPIs.
- Reducing the errors in data entry and ensure colleagues are aware of processes.
- Supporting a “self-sufficient” agenda where individuals are confident in SystmOne and provide clear messages on clinic status.
- Be compliant with Information Governance Standards, the completion of the IG Toolkit, all NHS Confidentiality Standards, and the Access to Patient Records.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Experience in an IT Support role is desired but not essential.
- IT Proficient, comfortable with theMicrosoft Office 365 Suite (especially Excel).
- A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
- A genuine desire to start/further develop a career in IT.
- Experience in using and processing data, preferably in a support environment.
- An appetite to learn and develop on the job.
- The ability to be proactive and a hunger to solve problems.
- UK resident and unrestricted right to work in the UK.
