It Support Engineer

Lorien's client, a growing Edinburgh based firm in the logistics sector, has asked us to help them in their searches for an IT Support Engineer with First Line Support and some initial JavaScript/HTML skills for a new role in their business.

This is a great opportunity to work very closely with a supportive IT Manager, learn from them and the wider business as you go, and progress within a firm who will upskill you along the way not only in the Support domain, but some lower level software development and other areas too as the role offers some real variety.

You'll act as a key partner to the manager, help with the incoming workload, fulfil a range of internal support duties, contribute to the improvement of business systems/network infrastructure/production software as needed, process data and documentation, and more.

What they're looking for:

• A demonstrable background in similar roles such as IT Support / Technical Assistant / 1st Line / Service Desk / Helpdesk support
• Demonstrable skills in JavaScript and HTML - training will be given but some kind of foundation is required from day 1
• Confidence and ability to work with personnel at any level within the business
• Ability to upskill as the business and its technical offerings change and improve
