Description:
As a senior IT Project Manager, your primary role is to take accountability on the planning, execution, and completion of technology-related projects within RWE IT Infrastructure and to support of the management of IT Infrastructure’s project portfolio. This also includes any IT programme and initiatives to support RWE growing plans, e.g. setup of new locations.
Your future plans
In your role as Project Manager you will support the team in:
- Planning, execution and leading of complex and cross-functional projects for all locations of the company
- Being responsible for overall project success by managing and steering project progress with respect to project goals in line with agreed quality, timelines, budgets and resources
- Leading workshops, preparation of approval documents, project reporting, documentation and decision making of the respective project steering committee and sponsor
- Co-ordinating relevant departments and functions (e.g. commercial departments, Risk, Back Office, Legal, Compliance) as well as other stakeholders such as Senior Management and Board
- Identification of potential risks within projects and developing possible solutions
- Taking functional lead of relevant project team members
- Driving project communication in a global, cross cultural environment
- Coordinating the transition from (new) business project into business-as-usual at the end of project phase
Your Powerful Skills
- University degree, preferably in the field of Business Administration, Economics or related or comparable training with professional experience in the energy sector
- Multiple years of experience in (international) project management, combined with an overarching department view
- Motivated and experienced in working with a team rich on cultural diversity
- Ability to describe complex facts and problems
- Excellent organization abilities and the skill to co-ordinate and communicate between different groups, good team player
- Proven experience and willingness to work on own initiative in combination with a fundamental hands-on mentality
- High flexibility, enthusiasm for task fulfilment, result-oriented, efficient and reliable
- Fluent command English language, willingness to travel occasionally (Germany or UK)
- Network and relationship building as well as distinctive social skills and MSOffice knowledge is key
