Description:
The section Digital Operations is driving a program that will deliver the biggest core infrastructure change to Munich Re Group. The program is improving or replacing platform services for public and private cloud including compute, storage, middleware as well as core IT infrastructure services. The project also includes lifecycle management based on EA standards via design and build project activities.
Your job:
- Create Standard Operating Procedures and Knowledgebase articles to assist in support operations and service availability.
- Assist the wider team to make service and product improvements and efficiencies.
- Support and maintenance of stack infrastructure.
- Technical de-bugging of failed workflows.
- Provide reporting and management information on product performance and operational KPIs
- Working closely with other product teams and vendors to drive resolution of incidents and fulfilment of requests.
- Perform IT-internal global communication and coordination of technical changes for the automation stack.
Your profile:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in IT Technical Engineering or Operational positions
- Profound practical knowledge in vRealize Automation, & vRealize Orchestrator (VRA/VRO) version 8.
- Proficient in creating automation workflows and Cloud Templates
- Experience in automated product deployment in public cloud (Azure) and private cloud (VMware).
- Experience of driving 3rd party software via API calls.
- Practical knowledge in management tools like Chef, Salt or Ansible.
- Additional experience in VXRail / Other vendor Hyperconverged-Infrastructure architectures would be desirable.
- Experience in working on technical projects and in virtual teams, and in coordinating and managing external service providers
- Willingness to evaluate and implement innovative architectures, not be restricted in own responsibility
- Analytical and methodological skills for preparing technical drafts
- Very good command of written and spoken English
