Infotainment Test Engineer

Are you an Automotive Test Engineer, looking to join a leading Research and Development Team for a major automotive manufacturer? Do you have a passion for future vehicle development?

We are seeking a Test Engineer with experience within infotainment, who will be responsible for validating the functional operation and reliability of Infotainment systems, on behalf of our globally successful Automotive OEM, based in Bedfordshire, on a contract basis.

Test Engineer responsibilities include:

• Develop testing methods & procedures for validation of Infotainment systems

• Ensure vehicle level quality, function and reliability standards are maintained with changes of Infotainment HW & SW

• Creation of test reports

• Root cause investigation

• Technical support to the production plant

• Management of suppliers

Background, skills and qualifications required for the Test Engineer position:

• Ideally Degree level qualified

• Knowledge of automotive electrical and electronic development relating to vehicle body electronics, HMI, navigation and telematics system

• Understanding of electrical architecture and electrical theory

• Ability to risk assess software modifications and develop appropriate test plans

• Understand network communications ie CAN, LIN,

• Ability to follow system circuit diagrams and identify electrical connections
