Incident Manager

 

Description:

The Incident Manager will be responsible for supporting the concept and assessment phase to ensure the management of incidents, problems, and changes within the project’s scope. You will support the lead in providing direction to operational teams during and after incidents, identifying and understanding the underlying causes of an incident as well as identifying the best method to eliminate that root cause. You will plan, track, and assess the impact of the change management deliverables and ensure clear and timely communication with all stakeholders throughout the process.
 

  • Receive and handle incidents, changes, and problems for support following agreed upon procedures.
  • Provide information to enable problem resolution and allocate unresolved incidents as appropriate.
  • Maintain records and advise relevant persons of actions taken.
  • Ensure that incidents, changes, and problems are handled according to agreed procedures.
  • Ensure that documentation of the supported components is available and in an appropriate form for those providing support.
     

Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role
 

  • ITIL Service Management (Incident, Problem and Change Management)
  • Strong communication skills
  • Knowledge of Defence environments
