Description:
The University of Exeter is seeking an experienced business development manager in the Health and Life Sciences Sector Team who will serve as the University’s expert professional for building collaborations with organisations across commercial corporations, public services, policy making and education sectors.
The IPDM will lead the University’s growing programme of collaboration with a focus on the following three areas: Physical Exercise, Mental Health and Nutrition as well as developing strong relationships with policy makers, businesses, charities and other non-academic partners in these sectors.
The University of Exeter has specific strengths and opportunities in these areas with a significant range of academic, research and training offers and there will be extensive opportunities to work with world-leading research concepts and to network and collaborate.
The successful candidate will have experience of working successfully with partners from across academic, public and private sectors and will have extensive knowledge of public sector trends and research, education innovation opportunities and the knowledge exchange needs of the sector. They will be responsible for coordinating and driving existing activities in this area, identifying opportunities to deliver greater value to these sectors, working with researchers from across disciplines and colleges, and engaging with policy makers across the UK and globally.
