Description:
An established UK based client of mine in the education sector are currently searching for an onsite engineer to come in assist the team by tending to staff and students technical needs.
This role would be perfect for someone who is used to an end user environment.
You will be travelling across 3 school sites all in a close proximity of each other, so a driving is licence is desirable but not essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1st line through to 2nd line support to Staff and Students by phone, email or through the ticketing system
- Assess IT problems and if necessary, escalate as appropriate.
- Log and maintain Walk-in support requests and keep users informed of progress
- Assist in the configuration, installation and testing of end user hardware and software solutions
- Ensuring the asset database and all relevant IT documentation is kept up to date
- Diagnose and resolve network, software and hardware faults and perform basic maintenance repairs and upgrades.
Key Skills (Not All Essential):
- At least 1 years’ experience of supporting IT systems on a similar technical & operational background
- Experience of supporting a Microsoft 365 Environment Inc Active directory and Intune.
- Knowledge of the Sophos suite (anti-virus)
- Excellent experience of PC deployment, particularly the use of the SCCM, Microsoft Deployment Toolkit and WDS to build and deploy images
- Experienced in the management and implementation of managed wireless solutions, especially Aruba
- Experience with web-filtering & firewall solutions is an advantage, especially Smoothwall & WatchGuard
