Pearl & Dean Cinemas Ltd are recruiting for an experienced HR Manager to oversee all aspects of human resources practices and processes. P&D currently use an HR service contract and this is the first time that the company will have a dedicated HR professional for a number of years, so although there are processes and structures already in place, the candidate will have the opportunity to really make a difference.
This role is based in the office in central London and reports to the CEO of Pearl & Dean.
The capability to prioritize workloads, work to deadlines, promote corporate values and support a positive culture is crucial. Experience of working within an SME, ideally within the media sector, is desired. Passion for film is a plus!

What you will be doing?
- Develop, implement and maintain current HR policies and procedures, in order to drive the people/business plan forward
- Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances or other issues
- End-to-end recruitment and advising on recruitment strategy
- Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation
- Guide, coach and support the senior leadership and line managers in developing employees and managing performance reviews
- Managing all aspects of Employee Relations and developing relevant policies in accordance with legal framework
- Develop and monitor overall HR strategies, systems, tactics and procedures across the organization
- Nurture a positive working environment
- Oversee, manage & maintain objectives & performance appraisals for all employees
- Maintain pay plan and benefits programs
- Assess training needs to apply and monitor training programs
- Report to senior management and provide decision support through HR metrics
- Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management.
What we're looking for?
- Proven working experience as HR Manager
- Degree in Human Resources or related field
- Strong knowledge of HR principles, processes, and best practices
- People oriented and results driven
- Demonstrable experience with Human Resources metrics, HR systems and databases
- Ability to architect strategy along with leadership skills
- Excellent active listening, negotiation and presentation skills
- Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company
- In-depth knowledge of labor law and HR best practice.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills across all levels with the ability to flex your style in various situations
- High degree of emotional intelligence and flexible to adapt easily
- Ability to maintain a positive attitude through all situations with a ‘can-do’ mentality
- Open minded and happy to get involved where required.
- Superb attention to detail, organizational skills and time management to meet deadlines
- Ability to be discreet and professional when handling sensitive and highly confidential information
