Description:

Spire Healthcare, one of the UK’s leading independent hospital groups, is seeking a dynamic and committed HR Advisor to join its Nottingham hospital. The role involves providing expert HR guidance to managers and colleagues, ensuring Spire delivers its purpose of making a positive difference through outstanding personalized care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive effective workforce planning through regular discussions with the hospital’s Senior Management Team.
  • Lead onboarding activities and ensure new colleagues receive a comprehensive induction.
  • Support managers and new starters through probation periods, offering advice and guidance.
  • Maintain confidential and accurate management of colleague HR files in line with GDPR.
  • Promote and advocate for employee well-being, using available tools and support mechanisms.
  • Manage both short- and long-term absence cases, ensuring appropriate support for employees and resource management.
  • Act as the initial point of contact for HR matters, providing high-quality, consistent advice.
  • Support managers with performance management, disciplinary, grievance, and attendance processes.
  • Ensure timely and fair resolution of employee relations issues while upholding equality and diversity.
  • Coordinate appraisals and encourage regular 1:1 discussions between managers and colleagues.
  • Assist with the annual pay review process, ensuring fairness and consistency.

Key Requirements:

  • Level 5 CIPD Qualification or equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge of HR systems, functions, and employment law.
  • Experience in managing disciplinary, grievance, and performance-related issues.
  • Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to build strong relationships and communicate effectively at all levels.
  • High standards of confidentiality, quality of work, and time management.
