The Position
The duties you will be performing as part of your role:
- Be the face of Brent Housing by providing visible and accessible housing management services to various customers.
- Manage the pre-void and lettings process to create the best experience for new customers.
- Handle tenancy breaches according to legislation and policies.
- Conduct quality estate management inspections to meet health and safety requirements.
- Provide high-level customer service, ensuring promises are kept and customer demands are addressed promptly.
- Collaborate with partners to coordinate actions and meet or exceed customer expectations.
- Serve as the primary contact for local stakeholders such as residents associations and Councillors for individual casework.
- Deliver a comprehensive lettings service to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Conduct estate and health and safety inspections for statutory compliance.
- Follow up on communal maintenance repairs as required.
About You
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:
- Knowledge of housing legislation, including Landlord and Tenant law, and other legal requirements relevant to housing and neighbourhood management.
- Administrative and literacy skills to GCSE/BTEC level or demonstrable ability to operate at this level.
- Relevant experience in working in partnership/multi-agency settings and multidisciplinary teams.
- Understanding of housing legislation related to nuisance, neighbour disputes, and racial harassment.
- Effective interviewing skills through active listening and negotiation.
- Experience working autonomously to manage workload and prioritize tasks, both on-site and in the office.
- Experience working with customers and advocating for their views and feedback.
