Description:
This is an important senior education leadership role within the new HEDS Institute. As an established and credible leader of innovative education practice, the Deputy Director will ensure and promote the academic integrity of HEDS. Drawing on national and international experience, you will help the Director shape the Institute, ensuring that it fully supports the education endeavour of UCL.
You will lead on strategic initiatives and take ownership of projects to enhance the quality of education and the student experience at UCL. You will enable faculty support that is responsive to local and institutional need as well as ensuring activity offered by the HEDS Institute meets the requirement of both staff and students, and that the pedagogical support available to staff who teach and/or support teaching and learning at UCL is sector leading. To this end, you will lead senior colleagues from UCL Arena and UCL Careers, who are themselves experienced leaders in their own field. You will bring these colleagues together as a coherent team, whilst also respecting their professional identities.
Role specific details
This is a permanent, full-time role, however we will consider applications to work on a part-time, flexible and job share basis wherever possible.
This role is eligible for hybrid working with an expected minimum of 40% on site.
