Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct audits of facilities and practices to ensure full compliance with health and safety legislation.

• Collaborate with internal departments and external professionals to enhance and implement safety policies and procedures.

• Ensure the organisation is inspection-ready and maintains up-to-date legal compliance.

• Compile regular reports on health and safety performance and identify areas for improvement.

• Manage risk assessments and maintain relevant safety documentation and registers.

• Oversee safety compliance of contractors and conduct site inductions.

• Serve as a key advocate for creating a safe school community and act as a certified first aider.

Candidate Requirements:

• Essential: NEBOSH National Diploma (or equivalent, or currently working towards), strong knowledge of property, building, and occupational health and safety legislation, and hands-on experience leading H&S in a complex organisation.

• Desirable: Familiarity with independent school operational standards and prior experience within the education sector.

• Excellent interpersonal, organisational, and IT skills are essential, as is the ability to solve problems proactively.
