Description:
We are seeking a Head of Sales to lead the commercial efforts in a growing FMCG tech business selling into major FMCG brands. The role requires a strategic leader to drive new sales revenues, help clients grow their business, and foster strong relationships with key clients. The Head of Sales will be responsible for achieving sales targets, managing sales operations, and collaborating with teams to optimize client relationships and business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead commercial activities across all FMCG brand manufacturers.
- Achieve budgeted new sales revenues and gross margin targets.
- Develop and extend strong relationships with UK CPG and retailer clients.
- Negotiate and close sales with clients.
- Identify client opportunities and issues, creating solutions.
- Prepare and negotiate sales contracts to completion.
- Monitor market conditions and keep up-to-date with industry trends and FMCG activity.
- Foster a positive team environment and collaborate with other departments for business and process improvements.
- Partner with marketing and lead generation teams to establish successful demand generation and trade marketing programs.
- Leverage international client relationships for shared best practices.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Experience leading a commercial team within the FMCG sector.
- Proven track record in sales within FMCG brands.
- Ability to negotiate and close deals with high-level clients.
- Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and client relationship skills.
- Excellent market knowledge and understanding of industry trends.
