Head Of Real Estate Analysis & Asset Management

 

Description:

The Head of Real Estate Analysis and Asset Management will report to the Director of Global Analysis (AMC) and European Development & Real Estate Director (OCG) and will also provide support to the Real Estate leads within each of the ODEON Cinemas Group (OCG) territories. The Development & Real Estate team is responsible for the timely completion of all property transactions including acquisitions, renewals, expansions, terminations, and reconfiguration of existing cinemas across 3 territories and 9 countries.

Key Accountabilities

  • Partner with AMC’s Director of Global Analysis to lead and develop a team of Analysts and Asset Management Coordinators to supercharge OCG’s investment underwriting, capex management, data management and reporting skills.
  • Support the European Development & Real Estate Director to further develop the OCG property strategy and approach to future growth opportunities.
  • Build an enhanced understanding of relevant KPI’s in partnership with stakeholders that accurately reflect OCG’s multi-faceted business model. Use proven analytical skills to benchmark against competitors and tell the story around metrics and supporting data to provide actionable insights that raise the bar on all real estate activities.
  • Identify opportunities for growth, continuous improvement, and cost savings capable of being driven by the Development & Real Estate team.
  • Oversee capex management and reporting support to the Group Construction Programme Director to always ensure compliance with appropriate requirements and / or regulations.
  • Partner with stakeholders to ensure tight alignment of commercial strategies; facilitate knowledge sharing and proliferation of lessons learned and best practices to drive synchronization and collaboration on shared goals.
  • Work closely with Group and Territory Finance, Commercial and Operations teams to support and inform wider activities such as annual budgeting, automation of payment processes and the assessment of M&A opportunities.

 

Key Skills:

  • Proven experience from a finance, real estate, or operations background with a strong understanding of the end-to-end process of defining, negotiating, and closing transactions with multiple moving parts.
  • Knowledge of the life cycle of physical assets (property and buildings), including the acquisition and disposition of assets and lease administration would be beneficial.
  • Experience in underwriting and supporting large capital projects with proven success in delivery.
  • An understanding of financial analysis techniques with proven ability to adapt and evolve approach to suit individual market dynamics.
  • Proven leadership and development skills with the ability to collaborate and influence at all levels.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills and working knowledge of Oracle / Hyperion (desirable) planning, analysis, budgeting, reporting, and forecasting tools.
  • Demonstrable track record in large scale project driven workloads with experience of engaging, collaborating and reporting to multiple cross functional / cross territory stakeholders and senior business leaders.
  • Ability to think strategically and holistically about OCG’s unique real estate needs and able to thrive and succeed in an ever-changing environment and not be hindered by ambiguity or conflicting priorities.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills with a high level of attention to detail including effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven business acumen and analytical skills to generate and analyse metrics for data-driven decision making.
  • Consistent ability to manage multiple priorities for efficient problem solving and management of day-to-day responsibilities within a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven and effective written and verbal communication skills that are clear, succinct and data driven.
