Fantastic opportunity to secure the Head of Business Analysis Practice position as a permanent employee. The Head of Business Analysis Practice role can be based from London or Manchester on a hybrid working basis. The Head of Business Analysis Practice position needs a candidate that has performed a similar level position successfully previously to be a part of the amazing journey DCC are currently on.
What will you be doing?
- Provide visible leadership to the Business Analysis Practice. Role model positive behaviours and professional excellence and inspire others to create a profession and practice that they feel proud to be a part of alongside promoting the value of business analysis across DCC and gain buy-in from the Exco to the strategic direction of the business analysis practice
- Accountable for developing and embedding the strategy for delivering the business analysis service within DCC including new services for C2C and C2M stage of the operating model. Establishing a culture of continuous improvement and feedback using best practice
- Drive standards and establish key performance indicators for the BA service and establish a team of BAs which has the capability of meeting such indicators. Lead work to increase business analysis capability and gather key data to identify capability gaps and requirements.
- Develop the strategic resourcing model for the business analysis practice – including the mix the contractor/consultant/permanent colleagues and build the right career path to enable this. Balance the need for an enduring capability alongside fluctuating demand that requires temporary resources and support recruitment based on DCC needs and priorities.
- Working closely with the Professional Services Director and DCC People Team, develop a high-quality pool of talent, support people development activity, invest time in career conversations, manage talent and inform career choices for key members of the practice. Develop the business analysis career path to drive retention and develop talent.
- Engender a culture of continuous improvement that promotes enhanced quality and cost reductions by developing capability and improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the practice, including quality assurance to align with programme gates.
What are we looking for?
- An experienced business analysis professional leader who has a strong reputation and who has held a high level of influence within their current or previous role to build credibility and integrity of the practice across the wider organisation.
- The successful candidate will have extensive experience leading significant business analysis functions as either a Partner at a consultancy organisation, Head of Profession in a public sector organisation or Head of Practice in the private sector. The candidate must be used to interacting at Executive level and be passionate about developing people and the business analysis profession.
- Demonstrable experience in leading business analysis service transformation, building high performance teams, and directing and coaching others to consistently deliver high quality services.
- Experience of the governance arrangements of complex multi-user, multi-service provider developments.
- A strong reputation within the wider industry to build the name of Smart DCC as great place to work and to bring industry best practice back into Professional Services.
