An opportunity has arisen for a Head of Marketing to join this successful retail chain, a business who has maintained their family ethos and is continuing to open new stores across the country.

In the position of Head of Marketing, you will be responsible for leading all commercial marketing decisions to drive footfall and further increase sales. Managing a team across Marketing and Space Planning, you will ensure the store marketing delivers with innovation and best practise.

Main responsibilities in the position of Head of Marketing include:

  • Take a hands on role in coaching and leading the team in both the creation and execution of the marketing strategy
  • Oversee the execution of local store marketing plans, including VM and space planning
  • Oversee the overall social media strategy
  • Oversee the merchandising strategy
  • Work hand in hand with the Store Development Manager
  • Review teams deliverables against agreed KPI's
  • Ensure the look and feel of the stores is consistent and in line with the overall TOV and brand direction
  • Keep ahead of industry trends and make recommendations to the SLT team accordingly
  • Budget management for ongoing marketing strategy, new store openings

To be considered for the position of Head of Marketing, you will offer the following:

  • Proven in delivering results at a senior level in marketing, preferable within retail.
  • A confident personality who enjoys presenting and managing cross functionally, in a style that promotes collaboration and ambition
  • Experience in budget management and project management
  • Retail marketing experience is advantageous
  • Critical path management and marginal optimisation
