An exciting opportunity has arisen for the Head of Engineering Recruitment to work within a thriving agency that has grown and developed since being established in 2019. Due to my client's expansion, we need an experienced recruiter with management experience who will work towards building and running a profitable, efficient team and contribute to the wider business agenda and strategy. You will manage your own desk and be responsible for reaching your own financial targets. You will report directly to the Managing Director and will provide expert advice, guidance, and support to the permanent recruitment team. You'll be developing established client relationships and building a focused candidate talent pool whilst continuously working on opening new opportunities within the target market. You will support the expected culture aligned with legislation, and company values and achieve success in line with target requirements. It is essential that you provide exceptional support to all stakeholders including clients where relationships should be developed, whilst also adhering to company policy and procedures. Management experience and leading a team of recruiters previously would be an advantage.
Job Specification
Responsibilities and Duties: Managerial
Shortlist, interview and appoint new team members to the engineering recruitment division.
Lead, support and coach, encouraging mentoring opportunities to build the capability of the recruitment team.
Conduct regular one-to-ones to monitor the progress of team members and undertake performance reviews to ensure strong working relationships and clarity of role objectives.
Manage performance issues and implement disciplinary procedures where appropriate.
Develop a measurable business plan for the engineering division in conjunction with the Managing Director.
Implement an achievable annual desk business plan across the team to reflect sales growth revenue.
Contribute to the financial performance of your division, achieving your own targets.
Ensure overall achievement of the team’s required daily, weekly, monthly, and annual productivity and sales targets for an exceptional fulfilment rate of candidate and client service levels.
Create, agree and implement strategies to increase the coverage of candidate and client attraction.
Continuously develop the employer brand to support the growth of the business both reputationally and commercially.
Produce regular reports monitoring recruitment and selection performance and activity.
Build national as well as global resource pools via networking and proactively maintaining relationships with potential, existing and new resources.
Develop and continue to build on expert food industry engineering knowledge and insight, as well as keeping up to date with current trends, industry challenges, relevant legislation, competitors, and local knowledge.
Responsibilities and Duties: General
Network to build business information that can be converted into commercial opportunities, including sharing temporary and interim opportunities with team members.
Resource relevant candidates for your clients and forward plan ensuring that you have enough candidates of various disciplines to support your desk needs.
Proactively communicate with clients via regular calls, service visits, surveys, and mailshots to identify their current and anticipated needs to fulfil via contact of the current database or by advertising through job boards or social media.
Continuously identify and anticipate the candidate requirements on your desk.
Maintain and increase our candidate database ensuring candidate contact frequency, spec calls and actions are delivered according to expectations.
Manage your own desk and be responsible for reaching your own financial targets.
Project knowledge and industry insight within both client and candidates contact.
Optimise digital platforms, including social media to establish new connections.
Explore international talent opportunities as a client solution.
Keep up to date records across systems, according to policy and procedures.
Adhere to standards and processes related to compliance and appropriate legislation.
Manage complaints according to company policy in a professional and effective way.
Adhere to company policies, procedures, and work protocols always.
Contribute to training colleagues as required.
