Global SaaS fintech company is looking to hire a dynamic individual to fulfil the role of Head of DevOps & Cloud Infrastructure.
Reporting to the COO, you will lead a highly skilled team to support technology-enabled business strategies and operations to drive increased agility, scalability, and improve service quality of the Technology Operations, Infrastructure and Cloud services, supporting their growing product and customer base.
In a fast-paced environment, this role will play a critical part in not only leading this team, but in partnering with Product, Architecture, Development, and QA teams to deliver their SaaS solutions globally.m
Key responsibilities:
- Overall responsibility for the day-to-day management of Azure Cloud Services, including Cloud architecture, infrastructure as code (IaC), software deployment and upgrades, system setup and administration, monitoring, incident resolution, problem management, configuration and change management, security management and monitoring, capacity planning, availability management, disaster recovery and routine update of services.
- Create and maintain architecture and strategies related to Cloud Infrastructure and Cloud Services, ensuring all performance and costs are closely managed.
- In collaboration with Development and Architecture, lead the definition and development of Company Infrastructure Architecture.
- Ensure compliance of the infrastructure with industry and regulatory certifications (e.g. PCI-DSS, PCI-PIN, ISO27001). Continually evaluate existing infrastructure to identify risks or opportunities for improvement.
- Define and implement procedures to achieve operational excellence, scalability and resilience.
- Implement Cloud and DevOps industry best practices and tooling.
Key skills/experience required:
- Deep understanding of infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS) Cloud computing operations and transition.
- Proven track record of success in architecture and operating distributed systems on Cloud platforms.
- Team leadership and developing talent across DevOps and Cloud infrastructure.
- Hands-on experience working with Azure Cloud infrastructure and services.
- SCRUM \ Agile methodologies.
- Designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines and tools (Azure DevOps preferred).
- IaC tools (Pulumi preferred, Terraform, Bicep or ARM also useful).
- Containers & Container Orchestration (Kubernetes).
- Git repository and release management.
