Description:
Goodman Masson are working with a large Housing Association across the Northern Home Counties to secure the services of a Head of Building Safety.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Leading the development and implementation of the building safety strategy across the housing portfolio
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant building safety legislation, including the Building Safety Act, Fire Safety Act, and other applicable regulations
- Overseeing the completion of building safety cases, fire risk assessments, and other safety audits, ensuring timely and effective action is taken to address any issues identified
- Working closely with the Property Management, Maintenance, and Resident Services teams to ensure building safety is integrated into all aspects of our operations.
- Leading on the development and implementation of safety policies and procedures, ensuring they are up to date with current legislation and industry best practices.
- Managing relationships with external safety consultants, contractors, and regulatory bodies, ensuring effective collaboration and compliance.
- Providing expert advice and guidance to the executive team and board on building safety matters, including the identification and management of safety risks.
- Leading a team of building safety professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
The successful candidate will have:
- Previous experience working within Social Housing in a similar role
- Strong stakeholder engagement
