Description:
You have extensive experience in franchise management and consumer marketing, working within the gaming, consumer products or entertainment industry. You excel working within a cross-specialism organisation, collaborating with teams across marketing, communications, partnerships, consumer products, events and animation to deliver innovative and creative campaigns that engage and build fanbases for AAA brands.
Responsibilities include:
- Lead creative and innovative brand marketing strategies to support the Sonic brand and other SEGA IPs in EMEA.
- Partner closely with the Global Brand Marketing team in Burbank and other cross-functional and international teams to ensure EMEA brand marketing plans are integrated and aligned with brand marketing strategic and financial goals.
- Act as the regional point of contact for brand marketing and plan development in EMEA and work closely with internal teams to cross-promote console/PC and mobile games, film, licensing, animation, partnerships and other brand initiatives.
- Champion and help the global brand marketing team evolve the voice of Sonic the Hedgehog and other SEGA IP brands for our core audience and the next generation of fans.
- Work closely with respective agencies and teams, to successfully support EMEA brand marketing programs and larger global marketing initiatives.
- Execute marketing campaigns, and manage media agencies, creative agencies, and event agencies as needed.
- Work closely with the EMEA and Global Partnerships teams on partnership activations and planning and execution of promotional opportunities.
- Oversee EMEA events, activations across production and promotions as well as supporting Product Marketing team events when cross-promoted.
- Ensure business plan goals are met and budget management is achieved while maximising global campaign effectiveness.
- Lead various consumer research and business data analysis projects to intelligently develop marketing strategies and franchise planning alongside measuring the success of marketing campaigns.
- Act as a key contact for the EMEA region with the Global Brand Marketing team to supply them with key consumer and marketing insights for the EMEA region.
- Understand the EMEA marketing landscape to recognise opportunities and develop brand marketing campaigns.
- Identify areas of concern in the execution of all brand plans and course correct to maximise the success of the campaign.
- Develop bespoke creative and/or be responsible for the localisation process of global creative for the EMEA region.
- Deliver assets to internal partner organisations and external partners when necessary.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- Significant experience in marketing in a variety of roles including brand and/or franchise marketing, game marketing or consumer products, for entertainment or gaming brands.
- Experience working in or managing a Creative or media agency.
- Experience with both EMEA and global marketing campaigns.
- Experience creating and owning global marketing campaigns from the research and positioning stage through go-to-market and post-launch management
- Knowledge of the Sonic the Hedgehog brand and other SEGA IP, the landscape of the EMEA Video games industry and its consumer base.
- Demonstrable P&L management experience with the ability to budget, analyse, project sales and forecasts for upcoming products.
- Ability to leverage quantitative analytic measures, build business cases to support initiatives and focus on KPI / ROI metrics.
- Experience in project management, analysis, and the ability to work with multiple teams.
- Highly effective presentation skills, capable of delivering business reports and presentations to executive-level team members.
- Ability to develop, pitch, and execute a marketing plan, delegating tasks and working with cross-functional teams to ensure the vision is executed effectively to meet and exceed goals.
