At dunnhumby we’re looking for a talented Head of Agency. This is an exciting opportunity to create the vision for how the Tesco Media team will grow our relationship with agency holding groups and agencies, and build relationships with Agency CEOs, Retail Media and Commerce teams, and CPG Planning Leads. Working in collaboration with the Sales team to deliver holding group trading arrangements for every major agency group. To create a strong network within the agency community and be seen as a key influencer in line with top-tier media owners.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a team of agency specialists, driving significant revenue growth across every major holding group, ensuring trading deals are delivered.
- Create commercial trading arrangements with agency trading teams, ensuring that budget is incremental to existing client JBP arrangements. Deliver incentivised trading plans which suit agency expectations and drive growth. Establish governance structures via a disciplined QBR process with senior agency leaders.
- Develop an extensive network across all senior leaders at agencies, being present at critical industry events and running the Agency Council.
- Ensure Tesco Media’s footprint across agencies extends beyond ecommerce into planning and leadership teams.
- Drive non-endemic opportunities through identifying opportunities with planning, AV, social and digital teams at agencies.
- Lead agency education and advocacy programmes including initiatives such as the Retail Media Accreditation.
- Ensure trended feedback from agencies is provided to the Proposition team to ensure that our Products and Measurement capabilities are best in class.
- Have a keen eye on how other first-class media owners are engaging with agencies to learn from the best in market. Improve salience of Tesco Media across agencies through events, think-pieces and thought leadership.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant subject (e.g. retail management, knowledge management or related discipline)
- Experience and knowledge of the agency landscape, having either worked in agency sales or at an agency
- An extensive network of agency leaders and influencers
- Knowledge of key industry and dh planning tools
- Commercial trading expertise
- Experience working with SharePoint Online, Office 365 and MS Teams
- Inspirational presentation style and ability to produce compelling documentation to sell plans
- Team leadership – setting direction for experienced agency teams
