Head Coach, Assistant Coach, S&c Coach

 

Description:

Next Level Rugby (ENG) is launching a brand-new West Midlands Academy and is looking to recruit highly motivated coaches to join their team. If you have a passion for developing young athletes and possess the necessary coaching qualifications, this is a great opportunity to work in a professional, structured academy setting.

The academy sessions will run on Wednesday evenings (17:30 - 19:00) at Walsall and will involve coaching 10-16-year-olds. Successful candidates will have the chance to work year-round (42 weeks, September - July), with full-time summer coaching work available.

Coaches must be able to obtain a clear DBS check due to working with young athletes.


Available Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Head Coach (£50-£60 per session)

Lead training sessions, ensuring players receive high-quality coaching.
✅ Design and implement effective training programs tailored to different age groups.
✅ Provide individual player feedback and monitor development progress.
✅ Work closely with assistant coaches and S&C coaches to enhance performance.

2. Assistant Coach (£30-£40 per session)

✅ Support the Head Coach in delivering structured training.
✅ Assist in planning and implementing skill development drills.
✅ Provide on-field guidance and encouragement to players.
✅ Help with matchday preparation and player assessments.

3. Strength & Conditioning (S&C) Coach (£30-£40 per session)

✅ Develop and implement S&C programs tailored for young athletes.
✅ Focus on injury prevention, mobility, strength, and agility training.
✅ Work alongside rugby coaches to ensure physical development aligns with technical training.
✅ Monitor player fitness levels and provide individualized fitness programs.


Ideal Candidate Profile:

Rugby Coaching Qualifications: Minimum Level 2 (Level 3 preferred) in Rugby Coaching or Strength & Conditioning.
Experience with Youth Athletes: Prior experience coaching 10-16-year-olds is highly desirable.
DBS Clearance: Must be able to obtain a clear DBS check before starting.
Strong Communication & Leadership Skills: Ability to engage and motivate young players.
Passion for Player Development: Committed to helping athletes grow and excel in rugby.
