This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated Haematology Clinical Nurse Specialist to join an award-winning Oncology team, delivering specialist care while benefiting from exceptional training and development opportunities.


Role Overview:

As a Haematology Clinical Nurse Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting haematology cancer patients across their entire care pathway. You will work in a supportive and well-resourced environment, ensuring that patients receive high-quality, compassionate, and personalised care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and support patients across a complex and changing caseload.
  • Provide specialist care to haematology cancer patients.
  • Deliver clinical expertise and leadership in oncology and haematology care.
  • Ensure best practices in patient safety, quality, and compliance.
  • Educate and train other members of staff to enhance service delivery.
  • Assist in the development and continuous improvement of haematology cancer services.
  • Provide and receive complex, sensitive, or contentious patient information.

Who We’re Looking For:

Essential Qualifications & Skills:

🎓 Registered Nurse (NMC Registered) – with no restrictions or conditions
🏥 Minimum 1-2 years of experience in Oncology/Haematology
💉 Competency in venepuncture, phlebotomy, cannulation, and CVADs
📋 Evidence of SACT (Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy) competency
💬 Excellent communication, organisational, and patient care skills

Desirable (Preferred but Not Essential):

🛡️ UK Oncology Nurse Society (UKONS) SACT Passport
📖 Post-registration study in Cancer Care or equivalent


Working Hours & Contract Type:

📅 Part-Time: 30 hours per week
📜 Fixed Term: 12-month maternity cover
