Group Premises Maintenance Technician

Description:

Codsall Community High School is seeking a Group Premises Maintenance Technician to provide efficient maintenance and janitorial support across five schools within the South Staffordshire Learning Partnership. The role involves ensuring the security, cleanliness, and general appearance of the buildings and surrounding areas are maintained to required standards. The technician will also handle minor repairs and support with heating systems to operate at optimal efficiency.

This is a full-time, permanent position with a Grade 4, Spinal Point 5 salary, working 37 hours per week, year-round, with occasional overtime and late-night finishes for school events.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain the security of premises and contents.
• Perform regular checks and records, including grounds surveys, water temperature, and ladder checks.
• Address emergencies like burst or leaking pipes.
• Keep gullies, drains, and grounds free from debris and hazardous plants.
• Undertake repairs, minor redecoration tasks, and maintenance of fixtures and furnishings.
• Assist with portage tasks and furniture movement as required.
• Supervise personnel visiting and working on-site.
• Drive the school mini bus and be willing to undertake a driving test if needed.
