Lecturer in Graphic Design (9-month Maternity Cover)

 

Graphic Design is one of nine undergraduate courses delivered at Cambridge School of Art. The course encourages students to push boundaries and challenge existing thinking by developing innovative design solutions, as well promoting a strong focus on professional practice.

 

We are seeking a highly-skilled lecturer to deliver and develop a series of dynamic modules across our Graphic Design provision. The ideal candidate will engage students in exploring creativity through design, emphasising its diverse application across media, motion graphics, web design, and various other specialisms in both analogue print methods, and digital spaces. You will inspire students to push the boundaries of contemporary graphic design, refining their creative vision and enhancing their technical expertise.

 

Key responsibilities include: teaching, assessment, module leadership, organisation and administration including updating and maintaining the Virtual Learning Environment and clear communication with students and colleagues.

 

You should have a proven track record of successfully guiding student progression within Graphic Design or a similar discipline, along with industry connections that will enhance and enrich the delivery of the course. providing students with real-world insights and opportunities.

 

This role offers the opportunity to work closely with the Course Director in developing and delivering the curriculum. The post holder will be expected to engage in research and/or professional practice to explore various aspects of the creative industries, within their specific field of expertise.
