Key Responsibilities:
- File Opening Procedures: Engage with clients to obtain necessary AML information and set up files on the electronic system.
- Document Drafting: Review Heads of Terms, prepare draft documents, and progressively take on more complex tasks as experience grows.
- Search and Title Pack Preparation: Submit search packs, prepare title packs, and liaise with clients to answer standard property inquiries.
- Matter Management: Track progress of matters, liaise with counterparty solicitors for updates, and maintain client communication.
- Legal Research: Conduct legal research as required for specific matters.
- Completion and Post-Completion: Prepare completion statements, handle the exchange and completion of documents, and manage post-completion tasks such as submitting forms to HM Land Registry and Companies House.
- Financial Management: Raise invoices and manage payment tracking for matters.
- File Closing: Ensure files are appropriately closed at the end of matters.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Law Degree/Conversion: A 2.1 or above in a law degree or a law conversion qualification.
- Strong Academic Record: Robust understanding of land law and commercial property matters.
- Teamwork & Proactivity: Ability to work effectively in a team environment and take initiative.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to Detail & Work Under Pressure: Strong focus on detail and the ability to manage workloads under pressure.
