Make a difference on a global scale! The Senior Director Marketing, Gale Global Academic, leads the Gale Global Marketing team to drive revenue and EBITDA growth through the development and implementation of strategic marketing goals. They partner with the Global Academic leadership team as well as the overall Gale leadership to drive growth and ensure alignment to key strategies and goals.
- Develop a strategic annual marketing plan complete with outlined objectives, strategy and tactics
- Liaise closely with senior executives of Gale in the US to ensure that global marketing strategy is in line with US/global business strategy
- Lead the creation and execution of marketing strategies, to include media plans, channel strategies, pricing strategies and promotional strategies
- Be responsible for the marketing budget and achieve revenue, profit and cash targets for the segment.
- Successfully recruit, lead, and develop a successful marketing team based in North America and the UK
- Partner with Sales, Product Management, and Customer Experience teams to engage customers appropriately throughout the product life cycle including bringing new products from concept to market, introducing improvements/updates, and growing share of mature products and solutions
- Lead all aspects of and facilitate the annual international sales meeting to level-set sales and marketing strategies for the year ahead
- Analyze industry/competitive trends
- Drive marketing’s digital transformation and continually refine CRM/marketing automation processes to optimize prospect nurturing, demand generation and lead qualification for sales teams
- Be responsible for multi-channel demand and lead generation campaigns across events, sponsorships, digital marketing, content marketing, social media and PR
- Overall management of the overhead cost base for including T&E expenditure on time and within plan budget.
- Coordinate fellowships programmes at key institutions and academic associations to strengthen Gale’s position as a partner to research, teaching and learning excellence
