Global Procurement Category Manager

As the Global Procurement Category Manager, you will be focused on delivering world-class results and a competitive advantage to JM. Balancing total cost of ownership (TCO), strategic and tactical delivery.

You will Develop global category strategy for professional services and consulting spend, support, own and deliver the strategy whilst bringing breakthrough ideas and best-in-class approaches.

Your goal / purpose will be to translate global led category strategies to sourcing and actions plan. Defining the team required to successfully deliver the project plan. Undertake category management activities as required and drive plans to successful execution.

Your responsibilities:
 

• Develop, negotiate & performance manage contracts (including Framework Agreements) with strategic suppliers.
• Tracking spend and savings performance within spend Categories, defining & reporting budgetary impact
• Leading and/or monitoring strategy implementation and contract compliance
• Business partnering with Group and Sector functions to understand their priorities and risks, so that these can be translated into Business Requirements that will drive Category strategy.
• Championing and securing TCO reductions for the category across JM Group, sectors and regions.
• Lead effective business partnership for the development and improvement of management of spend, business requirements, optimising security of supply, commercial agility and drive responsibly sourced sustainable value.
  
   

Requirements for the role:
 

• Degree qualified and/ or proven experience in Professional Services / Consultancy procurement
• MCIPS qualified, or willingness to work towards this
• Strong functional procurement experience managing global led categories across multiple geographies, including negotiation of contracts across technical, commercial and legal
• Experience of working within a global matrix organisation
