Global Account Executive

 

Description:

The Global Account Executive is a crucial part of Volvo’s dedicated global client service and delivery team. Comprised of leadership, digital expertise, strategy, innovation and network management - this team are responsible for leading the global Volvo business, driving change and growth. The central team is the focal point for Volvo’s global campaigns, strategic brief, and the adopting of these across the network. The global Account Executive has a role within each of these workstreams, but their primary focus rests within the network management service layer.

Additionally, the central team are responsible for the monitoring/reporting of media investments across the network. Mindshare operates a proprietary tool to support the delivery of this service and this role will work closely with the technology team & regional/local activation teams to ensure the information submitted is accurate.

Principal accountabilities:
 

  • Form a close relationship with the specialist teams that work on the business in a support capacity, e.g. audience/insights, finance, integrated analytics, etc.
  • Build relationships with local market representatives to better manage active requests within the network.
  • Understanding of MAP (MindShare’s Media Activity Planner tool) to monitor planned and executed local media plans. In addition to validating the information input by activation teams.
  • Work with the Network Director to ensure timely delivery of workstreams within agreed deadlines from the network.
  • Support the Director in the collation of key information & documents for client perusal.

  • A passion to develop a clear understanding of the paid media landscape. In addition to a proactive attitude in gathering information on current and future trends in technology & media.
  • Clear capability to work with numbers within an analytical capacity.
  • A positive attitude & the ability to work effectively within a team environment. With a clear understanding of the value of feedback and how to receive it.
  • Strong organizational skills & the ability to effectively manage their time.
  • Desire to work on a global account, spanning different time zones, across the world
     

Key Performance Criteria
 

  • Ability to analyze data and generate actionable insights with a keen eye for detail
  • Anticipates where problems could occur and take decisive action accordingly
  • This is an entry level role, but translatable experience will be beneficial
  • An interest in cars (beneficial, but not essential) and marketing
  • A passion for media and the increasing number of possibilities it offers to deliver impact through data, tech, and content
  • An ability to recognise the role of paid media channels as part of the broader communications mix.
  • A positive attitude to collaboration, vital when mentoring planning teams and markets alike
  • Proficient in Microsoft office programs
